Renee Zawawi says she misses her father so terribly, but has been busy writing her book: Once Up On A Photographer!
Millennial Pop is a subgenre of pop music that started with Renee Zawawi's "Happy Hour" featuring Manuel Rojas. He was brave! He flew from New York to Los Angeles and did the rapping for the first time in his life! He met Renee at a dance party, and she dared him to rap in her popular song. They had a great time dancing. Renee released a song called Mom in the late 90's and reached #1. Singing was not new to her and her band, but her new album, Gallery Show, sounded amazing. Of course, the new sound would inspire the new generation of music. Several other artists were inspired and released songs about Renee's romantic life, including Taylor Swift, Hillary Duff, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, and many others who have branched out to sing other fun, love songs. All have done very well with their lives and music careers. All is well. Enjoy the music. Renee Zawawi has taken a year off after the tragic death of her father. She has been writing a novel about her artistic journey while trying to overcome tragedy. Much of Zawawi's work has been shaped by personal tragedies. Following the deaths of both her mother and father, she turned to music and the arts as a means of expression, writing songs and scripts that explore grief, transformation, family, and resilience.
